The city of East Orange ranks has one of the highest Black infant mortality rates in the state.

The East Orange Black Legacy Project (EOBLP) – The city of East Orange ranks has one of the highest Black infant mortality rates in the state. The Black Legacy Project is a research-based community project designed to help redesign systems to ensure Black infants are born healthy and celebrate their first birthday.
