PHEI is excited to announce our Inaugural NJ Birth Equity Conference! This academia conference is designed for local health professionals with an interest in Birth and Reproductive justice. Content will focus on Black lead initiatives in the Black community that a having an impact on improving Black health in our local area. The goal is to break down silos and showcase Black models of care.

Who should come: doulas, public health students, nursing students, community health workers, social workers, nurses, midwives, physicians, medical assistants, policy makers, anyone with an interest in maternal health.

Nov 11: 5:30-9pm Public health mixer
Nov 12: 8-4:30 Birth Equity Conference / 6:30-11- Dinner and awards ceremony
Nov 13: Nurses Brunch: special event just for NJ nurses to discuss the importance of your role in improving health outcomes

Call for proposals: We’d like to feature some local speakers. You may submit for a poster presentation or 30min talk.
